Our Wheel Refinishing Process
Our wheel refinishing work follows a full workshop process rather than a quick blow-over.
Clean
The wheels are washed and inspected so brake dust, silicone, grime and old contamination are removed first.
Sand
We sand the finish by hand and machine as needed to level damage, key the surface and smooth the wheel properly.
Degrease
After sanding, the wheel is thoroughly degreased so no residue is trapped under primer, basecoat or clear.
Prepare
Any masking, filling, edge work and final prep is completed so the wheel is ready for a clean paint job.
Prime
We apply the right primer stage to promote adhesion and create a consistent base for the colour coat.
Paint
The chosen wheel colour and clear coat are applied using automotive refinishing products, not cheap aerosol shortcuts.
Cure
The finish is left to cure properly so the coating can harden and settle before handling and refitting.
Fit
Once the finish is ready, the wheels are refitted and checked so the final result looks right on the car.
